Whitney Katz
Whitney Katz, COO of Lang Financial Group, spent all of her childhood and high school years in Munster, Indiana. She entered the insurance industry in 2000 after graduating from Bradley University with a Bachelor of Science in psychology.
As a teenager, she developed a passion for the insurance industry. She witnessed and learned how disability insurance had helped her family when her father became disabled due to a hereditary disease that limited his ability to practice law for intermittent periods of time.
In 2001, Whitney had the opportunity to develop her passion for disability insurance when she was hired as a disability insurance marketing specialist. In this position, she studied all of the individual disability contracts in the marketplace. She helped and advised insurance agents all over the country which contracts would best fit their clients’ personal needs. In February of 2005 Whitney was introduced to Stacy Kahan, the Managing Director of Lang Financial Group. Stacy presented her with the opportunity to expand her knowledge, skills and experience with estate planning and corporate business planning. Whitney is currently managing the operations of Lang Financial Group as COO, assisting in Stacy’s client’s annual reviews, as well as other client services while building her own business and studying for her CLU.
Whitney has been living in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago for over 5 years. She still has a passion for psychology and helping people with mental obstacles. She serves on the board of Personal Solutions Counseling, a charity that raises money for those that need mental health counseling, but can’t afford it.
